he Toddler Program at Allen Kids is specially designed for children between 1.5 to 2 years of age. At this stage, children are rapidly developing key skills, and our program focuses on nurturing their curiosity, emotional development, motor skills, and early social abilities in a safe and engaging environment. This program aims to support toddlers in their transition from infant to toddler, fostering their emerging independence and social interaction skills through carefully curated activities.

Key Features of the Toddler Program

  • 1. Early Language Development:

Language skills are introduced through songs, rhymes, and simple stories. We encourage toddlers to express themselves through gestures, sounds, and eventually words. The environment is rich in spoken language, with frequent one-on-one interactions and group activities to build oral language development and vocabulary expansion.

  • 2. Circle Time:

provides a structured opportunity for toddlers to sit together, interact, and engage with peers and teachers. During this time, children are encouraged to explore simple concepts such as colors, shapes, numbers, and animal sounds through songs, short stories, and interactive discussions. This fosters early cognitive skills and promotes group interaction.

  • 3. Physical Development:

At this age, toddlers are becoming more mobile and active, so the program includes activities that help develop gross motor skills like walking, climbing, and jumping. Toddlers participate in simple physical activities, including ball games, soft obstacle courses, and gross motor exercises like dancing, which promote coordination, balance, and strength.

  • 4. Sensory Exploration:

The Toddler Program places a significant focus on sensory play to stimulate curiosity and cognitive development. Toddlers engage with a variety of textures, colors, and shapes through activities like playdough, water play, sand exploration, and finger painting. These activities promote sensory awareness and help toddlers develop fine motor skills.

  • 5. Social and Emotional Development:

Social interaction with peers is encouraged through structured play and free play sessions. Toddlers are guided in developing early sharing and turn-taking skills, which are essential for social growth. Teachers also help children understand basic emotions like happy, sad, and angry through games and picture books, supporting their emotional vocabulary and self-regulation.

  • 6. Music and Movement:

Music plays a central role in this program as toddlers begin to recognize rhythm and sounds. Songs, clapping games, and simple dance routines help toddlers develop their listening skills, physical coordination, and musical awareness. Music activities help them connect words with movement and support language development in an engaging, fun way.

  • 7. Art and Craft:

Simple art activities like coloring, stamping, and scribbling introduce toddlers to the world of creativity and fine motor skill development. These activities enhance hand-eye coordination, build confidence in self-expression, and allow toddlers to explore their imagination in a playful, tactile manner.

  • 8. Free Play and Exploration:

Free play is an important part of the program, where toddlers are encouraged to explore toys, materials, and spaces at their own pace. This fosters independence, helps toddlers practice problem-solving, and allows them to discover the world around them through exploration. It also promotes socialization and creativity as toddlers interact with their environment and peers.

  • 9. Routine and Structure:

The program follows a predictable routine to give toddlers a sense of security and consistency. Toddlers learn to understand the flow of their day through familiar transitions, such as snack time, nap time, and group activities. Having a routine helps them feel more comfortable, confident, and ready for new learning experiences.

  • 10. Parent Involvement:

We believe in the importance of strong parent-teacher collaboration. Parents are encouraged to stay connected with the program through regular updates, parent-teacher meetings, and family activities. This strengthens the bond between home and school and ensures that learning continues in a supportive, consistent environment.
